Many members have commented on the dilapidated appearance of our sanctuary doors and several have pledged money to see that they are replaced. St. Paul Session approved a bid from Forman Ford Glass Contractors to replace both sets of sanctuary doors and the office doors with glass doors. The main sanctuary door will also be automated. The total cost of the project is $8600 installed. We have pledges of $5500 toward the purchase of the doors. Session authorized the remaining dollars for the doors. However, if anyone would like to contribute to the cost of replacement, please contact Jean Gilbert to let her know the amount.
THANK YOU SESSION AND DEACON MEMBERS
While we don't always see what is happening behind the scenes, these people are currently serving as SESSION and DEACON members. Their hard work and efforts are to be applauded. Decisions are not easily reached and not everyone will agree with all decisions, but to take the time and continue to try to make our church better, the following people deserve our gratitude.

New HR Committee Formed
As part of its strategic planning process, Session determined that it would be helpful to establish a human resources committee to assist with various personnel matters at St. Paul. Session appointed Kris H. and John T. to serve on this committee. The scope of the HR Committee is as follows:

- Evaluate staffing needs
- Create, update and maintain employee job descriptions
- Establish a method for recruiting and placement practices and procedures for hiring new staff
- Establish and maintain employee personnel files
- Conduct employee performance evaluations on a yearly basis
- Develop and recommend a new hire orientation process
- Be responsible for employee development and conflict resolution
If you have any input concerning these or other personnel matters, please feel to contact Kris H. (Kris.Huston@bloodcenterofiowa.org or 331-3838) or John T. (templelaw@mchsi.com or 270-0611).
