HOPESTREAM CANCER CARE MINISTRY

Our Mission 
  •  Providing those with cancer, in the Johnston, IA area and their Caregivers with compassionate, spiritual, and practical assistance.
  • We form partnerships that bear witness to God’s unfailing love, bringing encouragement  and hope to those who are impacted by cancer. 

Participant Support
  • Participants receive confidential, caring, spiritual and emotional support.  Services offered may include:
  •  Help with household chores
  •  Regular visits spent listening and sharing  
  •  Transportation
  •  Grief support
  •  Meal support
  •  Resources and Networking
  •  Prayer
 
Hopestream Helps participants to:
  • Share questions, concerns and feelings
  • Connect with others who understand
  • Reduce levels of stress and anxiety
  • Increase coping skills
  • Help create a sense of well-being

Support for Caregivers
 Our caring, trained, background checked volunteers provide support and encouragement to caregivers.

Hopestream, a Cancer Care Ministry is offered by St. Paul Presbyterian Church. This program helps cancer patients and their families spiritually in the fight against cancer and is based on the Our Journey of Hope spiritual outreach program sponsored by Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA).  The services, facilities and benefits of this program/service/project are for the use of all  persons regardless of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, disability, use of public assistance  or sexual orientation.
