What to Expect on Sunday
The first thing you can expect on a typical Sunday is plenty of parking. When you turn off of Merle Hay, you will discover our parking lot to the south and west of our facilities. Most folks enter the church by the double doors east of our gym and then head east towards our sanctuary, where we worship. Others enter the double doors just west of our worship center. Either way, expect to be treated like family. There will be greeters outside at the entrance to our sanctuary who will welcome you with a smile and answer any questions you may have. If you need childcare for your preschooler during the service, they will show you to our nursery, which is staffed by a caring adult professional and a church volunteer to assure complete safety and care of children.
Worship at St Paul is a joyful blend of contemporary and traditional music. On any given Sunday you may hear hymns played on the organ, contemporary praise songs led by our praise team, anthems performed by our choir, or our awesome bell choir, the Bellmeisters.
What you wear is up to you. Some dress formally, but others will be in jeans or shorts. We figure God looks at the heart and that's where we are going to focus too.
After about fifteen minutes usually we have a children's sermon, after which everyone greets one another and the K-6th grade kids go to Church School. We promise we won't ask you to stand up and introduce yourself or give us your life story.
You will be able to follow the service with a bulletin or you can see everything projected onto our screen up front. We even closed caption the sermon for the deaf or hard of hearing or for those who just like to see what they are hearing. Speaking of the sermon, Pastor Bill's are often humorous and always focused on applying the Bible to everyday life. Don't be surprised if we watch a film clip once in a while!
Services are generally about an hour, but sometimes we go a little longer. Sometimes we even get out early! Following worship we invite everyone to join us for homebrewed coffee, punch, and goodies (and they usually are pretty good) in our Fellowship Hall, which is West of our sanctuary. Best church coffee around, take our word for it. When you are ready, this is a great opportunity to get to know folks better. St Paul St Paul worships online and onsite every Sunday at 10:15am and welcomes all people, regardless of gender, race, economic status, or sexual orientation. It offers a full array of programs for children, youth, and adults.
