AFFORDABLE FITNESS CLASSES FOR ALL
AGES AND ABILITIES IN JOHNSTON!
Get in shape and make friends in a safe, positive, and faith-filled setting with “Body and Spirit” Fitness Ministry at St Paul Presbyterian Church! Our church has been blessed with our Family Activity Center, a spacious and modern gymnasium complete with showers, and we are sharing it with the community by offering affordable fitness opportunities for all ages and abilities taught by qualified, professional instructors. Our goal is not simply to offer classes, but to form caring communities of spiritual encouragement, recognizing that we are on a journey to wholeness with one another and God!
Our offerings are:
Active & Fit is a moderate intensity, low impact class that uses a variety of fitness formats to build strength, cardiovascular fitness, balance and flexibility. All fitness levels and abilities, including those who prefer a chair, are welcome! Classes are offered in person and online on Tuesdays @ 8:15-9:00am and Thursdays @ 8:30-9:15am. AMPLIFY is designed to increase your strength and vitality through unique workouts focusing on CORE, STRENGTH and CARDIO training. Perfect for working professionals or busy parents who need to get their workout done before the day gets started! Classes are Monday - Friday from 5:15 AM - 6:00 AM. Tai Chi is a fitness class using slow and gentle movements used to increase balance and prevent falls. This moving meditation can promote good posture and increase body awareness as we age. Classes are offered on Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:45am - 12:4pm. Instructor: Jessica McCarty.
Pickleball Public and Private sessions. Offered 7 days a week at St Paul. It's $4.00 per session to play. We have an option to rent the court for your specific time slot and group play, or an open play option. We have 2 courts going and rotate players. Check out the current schedule.
